The ReKreational Program classes at Kinetics are designed with fun and fitness in mind. We want our students to be able to explore the world of gymnastics, tumbling and cheer at a pace they are comfortably challenged and to a skill level they find enjoyment. Our classes are structured with lessons planned around circuit training and built on a solid foundation of “skill progressions”. This provides safety and steady activity for your child. Your child will naturally progress. Students are evaluated at least three times each year to monitor skill proficiency and allow promotion upon skill mastery.

Gym Dandies (PresKool 1) helps children 3-4 years old explore gymnastics, rhythms, and basic movement designed to enhance fitness, coordination, social skills and self-esteem and work skills to improve eye-hand/eye-foot coordination, typically using games and elemental movements. Students work progressions and variations of forward and backward rolls, log and straddle rolls, bridges, walks, hops, jumps, handstands and body positions on floor and beam; hangs and supports on uneven bars; and jumps, drops and turns on trampoline. Self-discipline, social skills and self-esteem are developed through group interaction and positive guidance by their coach.

Rompin' Rookies (PresKool 2) helps children 4-5 years old explore and master concepts and skills of PresKool 1. New skills introduced include progressions toward cartwheels; beam mounts, casts, pullovers; glides on uneven bars; and vault approaches, mounts and dismounts. Self-discipline, social skills and self-esteem continue development through group interaction and positive guidance by their coach.
